BRIAN TESTA

RE-OPENING
10.10.25
Two major international exhibitions open the new season at the CAM Museum: on October 10th with an American artist, and on October 17th with a trio of Chinese artists.

After the summer break, contemporary art returns to the renovated spaces of the Casoria Museum.
Launching the cultural center’s activities are two events featuring artists with diverse languages, ranging from abstract painting to installation art, offering the opportunity to compare independent paths and their developments.

Starting on October 10th at 8:00 p.m. in the CAM Factory, Brian Testa, an American artist of Italian origins, will present his project “Ephemeral Balances”, curated by Alma Idrizi, inspired by the ancient Japanese art of suminagashi—floating ink. The works explore themes of memory and transformation, staging abstract visions that combine the direct action of the artist and of nature. The movement of breath and water is imprinted on the space of the composition, giving life to imaginative scenarios where balance and chance, calculation and study intersect. The act of creation corresponds to a meditative process that carries an ancient art into the contemporary world and makes it relevant today.

As the artist himself states:
“… I guide the mixtures of floating pigments on the surface until the image settles, a fleeting moment of balance captured before the water reshapes itself. These works are not simply abstract; they are records of presence, awareness, and surrender. By expanding the traditional process, I invite the physical environment to participate: sunlight, temperature, and water currents influence the final imprint.”

The director of CAM, Antonio Manfredi, renews his commitment to a new cultural season at the museum:
“The exchange between creators from other nations and local artists has always been a hallmark of CAM, which has worked extensively on the idea of collective work. It is through dialogue that we grow as artists and as people.”

Musical evenings directed by Stella Manfredi and Luigi Castiello also resume, along with other activities that enrich the program of EXIT, the CAM’s Concept Bar.

From 10:00 p.m. there will be live performances by Renè Messina, Vienne, Alessio Busanca, and Carmine De Rosa, while from 11:00 p.m. the DJ set will feature the sounds of P.U.L.S.E by Savio Buonomo and PAPPEL_G.
