LABELS FROM THE ART WORKS COLLECTION OF KBIRR
14–23 November 2025
On Friday 14 November at 9 p.m., the CAM museum will host the presentation of the Kbirr Art Collection to mark the 10th anniversary of the Neapolitan company, which has long been promoting the combination of contemporary art and craft beer. On display are around 30 works that have contributed not only to the visual identity of the brewery but also to enriching its cultural heritage. The collection is being exhibited in its entirety for the first time in the Casoria museum, which is always ready to welcome local initiatives and influences that bring contemporary art into everyday life and non-canonical contexts. The 12 artists (Roxy in the Box, Iabo, Luca Carnevale, Collettivo Cuoredinapoli, Alessandro Flaminio, Luigi Gallo, Vincenzo Ionà, Pasquale Manzo, Luigi Masecchia, Nicola Masuottolo, Maura Messina, Rossella Sacco) have translated and recounted the city of Naples through a pop language capable of entering the collective imagination.
For example, Roxy in the Box’s Pop Art draws heavily on the iconic universe of famous characters, both real and fictional, from comics to art history. Her colourful protagonists convey provocative messages, accompany reflection with a veil of irony and best interpret the vision of the artist who lives in the present.
Iabo’s Pop Art, on the other hand, is of a different nature, blending street art and underground culture with easily identifiable lines and through the standardisation of a symbolic profile to which the artist, a former graffiti writer, gives different personalities and meanings.
Nicola Masuottolo uses drawings and overlapping glazes to portray famous names and more. This stylistic signature defines their physicality, erasing any reference to abstraction given by the idea of sanctity. The inclusion of letters and texts in the background of his compositions also contextualises the eloquently rhetorical faces in a local context.
In line with the idea of the collection dedicated to Neapolitan culture, the musical evening at EXIT, the CAM Concept Bar, will feature performances by artists who will offer a glimpse into the panorama of Neapolitan musical genres: Andrea Tartaglia; Romito; Montecreesto; Vincenzo Romano il cantore pellegrino; Miriah; Tvela.
