INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF CONTEMPORARY PAINTING
Curated by Antonio Manfredi
October 27th to December 10th 2007
Opening October 27th 2007 6.30 pm
Saturday the 27th of October at the CAM_Casoria Contemporay art Museum will be held “PEINTURE PURE”, exhibition showing artworks of international artists who use painting as art language. The CAM museum is well-known for digital experimentations, its challenge rises from the purpose of understanding how tools of traditional art evolve and transform themselves into a multimedia context. The power of colour pigments in art brushing is shown in all its strength throughout the artworks of artists from every part of the world, who moved to Paris pursuing their cultural, ideological and artistic needs. The last CAM trip starts from here, in search of a cosmopolitan art environment, which does not force painting patterns in an out-of-date return to brush. Canvas is still the world where ideas and sensations come from, shouting its presence consciously without giving way to video art, photography and performances. Painting becomes a choice of awareness, an ethical disposition for some artists who claim the delight to touch and use the concrete instruments of artistic creation.
