YUCHU ZHAO

Forms of the Unspoken and more
Solo Exhibition at CAM Museum, Naples
17 – 24 October 2025

Some things resist being said. In Yuchu’s solo exhibition with Cam Museum, Yuchu Zhao traces the fragile moments when language falters and memory takes its place. Through painting, print, and light-based installation, she gives form to what remains unsaid — the hesitation of a sentence, the silence between two speakers, the feeling that survives after words have gone.

Presented at CAM Museum, the exhibition moves between the personal and the collective, exploring how translation shapes understanding. At its centre is The Pensieve, series of paintings that reconstruct fragments of the artist’s teenage years in layered acrylic panels that evoke the transparency and distortion of memory. These suspended forms transform private recollection into a shared visual language, holding the tension between clarity and loss.

Zhao’s practice is both introspective and connective. She works with precision and empathy, translating emotion into structure and silence into space. Forms of the Unspoken invites viewers to consider how memory and language shape one another, and how every act of remembering is already a kind of creation.
