Albulen Neziri _The Rhythm of Energy
curated by Alma Idrizi
with critical text by Graziella Melania Geraci
concert by Andrea Tartaglia & Lucky Salvadori and Me_July
The solo exhibition of the Kosovar artist at the CAM Factory presents an engaging exhibition journey where six monumental paintings surprise with abstract and twisted forms that chase each other in a pulsating wave of intense undulations. The continuous serpentine movement of thin lines suggests a perpetual motion, and the composition becomes charged with a pulsating energy, the vibrations of the exhibition title, which propagate in all directions. The space comes alive thanks to disorienting elements, small eyes seemingly peeking through gaps left open in the layering game. Whether they are signals of a virtual reality or dreamlike signs, these symbols mark a detachment from the artist’s work, which, now distant, pulls the observer towards the depths of the unconscious.
At his first exhibition in Italy, with the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of Kosovo, Albulen Neziri, born in 1988, has exhibited in numerous galleries and institutions in Kosovo and abroad. His artistic practice includes not only painting but also sculpture, where his personal language transforms the restless motion of his works into three-dimensionality.
For the exhibition The Rhythm of Energy, the CAM museum will host a concert by Andrea Tartaglia & Lucky Salvadori and Me_July, and a musical selection by Pappel_G will animate EXIT, the museum’s concept bar.
The exhibition The Rhythm of Energy will be open until March 1, on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Antonio Manfredi, director of CAM:
“We have resumed our activities, always with a special focus on all artistic expressions. After Enzo Cref, we are happy to host the exhibition of the Kosovar artist Albulen Neziri, which reaffirms our intention, even in this new phase, to give space to both local and international art. Additionally, the concerts continue on the stage at the center of the museum, a place of experimentation for musicians and performers. There will also be the opportunity to have a drink while listening to the DJ at Exit, one of CAM’s new spaces.”
