INSTALLATION ROOM

This room hosts visual art pieces developed in the postmodern era. The three-dimensional installations, which include media, objects, and a wide variety of expressive forms, also feature video installations and lightboxes. These works, by stimulating the viewer’s perception, aim to involve them as an integral part of the artwork itself.
Installation art is a form of visual art that emerged in the 1970s and quickly became one of the foundational pillars of Contemporary Art. It is an artistic representation designed for a specific location, a sort of three-dimensional sculpture—static, dynamic, or media-based—created to be temporarily or permanently integrated into a space, whether it be an art gallery, museum, street, or square.
Over time, installation art has undergone significant evolution. Initially static and material-based, it has grown increasingly dynamic, merging with other art forms, particularly video art, giving rise to video installations.
This room also showcases an international panorama, with works originating from diverse cultures and countries, further enriching its exhibition value.
