This room offers a broad and diverse perspective on the international art scene, highlighting, through the works on display, the technical and expressive languages and themes of contemporary art from various global cultures: from Western and Eastern Europe to the Balkan and Baltic regions, from the Middle East to North, Central, and South America. It stands out as an important and prestigious art collection, unique and unrepeatable, showcasing examples of the main historical and contemporary artistic movements: from international abstraction to informal art, from expressionism to hyperrealism, from minimalism to pop art.
The room also features sculptures and installations, reinforcing the museum’s core concept: “focusing on visitor orientation.” This definition, still highly relevant today, sets the path for what is and will be the evolution of museum exhibitions. An evolution that must keep pace with the times and the rapid growth of technology, progressing by following the newest and most diverse artistic trends while making the best use of the opportunities offered by modern technologies.
However, the museum never forgets its origins, remaining true to its mission of collecting and preserving stories from the past, present, and future.
